Jeff and I are feeling the weight of these uncertain times. We realize we’re not alone. As trained nurses who already adhere to heightened sanitation practices, we comprehend the threat of the coronavirus that’s hanging over all of our heads.
During our early years as nurses, we had no idea that we’d someday become farmers. We’ve never been more thankful that we did. Today we are a certified organic farm, and we hold food safety certification under the Food Safety Modernization Act. We take seriously our responsibility to continue providing fresh, high quality farm-to-table produce to our customers in the safest and healthiest manner.
Local farms and farm stores are becoming more important than ever as sources of safe, healthy food. We’re also committed to enabling our customers to grow their own food. That’s what our annual plant sale is all about.
We’re happy to announce that Frog Hollow Farm’s Annual Plant Sale will open May 3, as planned. Of course, we’ll be doing things a little differently this year. We'll begin accepting online pre-orders through our new farm store as soon as we can get it up and running. We have a team working on it right now. With as many plant varieties and other products that we offer it's a long process.
We'll let know on social media when pre-ordering opens! You'll be able to place your order and schedule a time to pick it up on May 3 or after. We’ll have it ready so you can grab it and go—right from our farm store parking lot.
In the meantime, we’ll continue, as always, to adhere to the highest safety standards in both growing and delivery. And because we want you to succeed in raising the plants you take home from our sale, we’ll share gardening tips in our newsletter over the coming weeks and months. We have some amazing tricks to share with you—things we’ve learned from some renowned individuals in the gardening and farming world!
Watch for our enewsletter signup link in just a few days, and thank you for already connecting with us on social media. It means so much to us!
We can’t wait to see you in May! Until then, we’re keeping each one of you in our prayers!
Amy
